The Waiting Room

 On the first Monday night of every month we open both our Moolap and Barrabool Hills campuses between 7:30 and 8:30 for us to come together and practice sabbath by being still. Why together? Because as one Jewish writer put it, “The silence of two people is deeper than the silence of one.” God wants our silence because this will slow you and still you so that you can begin to attune yourself to his still small voice and become truly present to him who is truly present with us. Let me say as a chronic over-thinker that this practice of waiting on God leads me again and again to a profound place of spiritual renewal. The harder it is for you the more you need it. So join me on the first Monday night of every month for The Waiting Room. And let’s recover that deep Sabbath that we so desperately need. – Matthew Jacoby
